The Moral Code of the Amoral

I am not here to make you comfortable. I am here to make you think.

SUN

Author

I write under the name SUN. Not because it is my name, but because it is what I chose — a word that contains both warmth and the capacity to blind.

This is not a blog in the conventional sense. It is a record. A collection of observations made from a vantage point that has never quite aligned with the consensus — on morality, on human nature, on the stories we tell ourselves to make existence bearable.

I am not interested in comfort. I am interested in precision. There is a difference between cruelty and clarity, and most people mistake one for the other because clarity, when it arrives without apology, can feel like an attack.

The title is not a confession. It is a provocation. A psychopath, by the clinical definition, lacks the emotional interference that clouds most human judgement. I am not claiming the diagnosis. I am claiming the perspective — the willingness to look at something directly, without flinching, without the need for it to resolve into something palatable.

To examine the things most people agree not to examine. To write about love without sentimentality, about morality without religion, about identity without flattery, and about death without the comfort of metaphor.

On the △

The triangle is the most stable geometric form. Three points. No redundancy. Every side load-bearing. I use it as a mark of authorship — not a logo, not a brand, but a signature that precedes language.

It also points upward. Whether that means ascent or accusation depends entirely on where you are standing.

I chose it because it is ancient and it is simple and it does not explain itself. The best ideas rarely do.

On ⅡⅠNⅠⅡ

The cipher ⅡⅠNⅠⅡ is not meant to be decoded. It is meant to be felt — a sequence that mirrors itself, that contains its own reversal, that looks like language but refuses to resolve into meaning.

Most of what we call truth is the same. A pattern that feels significant until you look directly at it. The cipher is a reminder that meaning is something we impose, not something we discover.

I am not interested in answers. I am interested in the quality of the questions.

On the writing

The essays here are not arguments. They are autopsies. I am less interested in convincing you of something than in showing you what something looks like when you remove the sentiment from it.

The poetry is not decorative. It is what remains when the prose runs out — the residue of thought after language has done everything it can and still fallen short.

The thoughts are exactly that — unfinished, unresolved, and honest in their incompleteness. Not every observation needs a conclusion. Some things are more useful as questions.

If you are looking for reassurance, you will not find it here. If you are looking for company in the discomfort of thinking clearly, you are in the right place.

What you will find here

Essays

Long-form examinations of philosophy, psychology, relationships, and the human condition — written without the usual concessions to comfort.

Poetry

Fragments of emotion and contradiction. The things that resist being said plainly.

Thoughts

Unfiltered observations. Passing realisations. Questions that do not require an answer, only an honest look.

"I have never belonged to convention. I have only ever belonged to the truth — and the truth, as it turns out, belongs to no one."
